Your Personal Feedback on African Butterfly Combs

Calling all the ladies out there who own an original African Butterfly comb.  I would love to receive your feedback on the combs - good, bad and ugly.

Without your feedback a product has a harder time in "making it to the big league" - please take 5 minutes to comment.

Your feedback is sincerely appreciated.

Kind regards

I own two African Butterfly combs and absolutely love them. I have very long hair, which is hard work living in the Tropics,so my combs are in almost full-time use. They are enormously comfortable, look fabulous and do a seriously good job of keeping my hair in order!

I first met Janet at the Wandin field day a few years ago and it was then that bought my first African butterfly comb. I wore it alot and found it really good. Since then I have bought sevsn more and love them all. Janet is lovely to deal with and I have no trouble at all ordering over the net. These combs are pretty and practical and I have recommended them to my friends, and also we are helping the women of Africa.

Easy to use, hair stays in position for hours, despite physical activity. Allows a loose but well held style.

This comb is so easy to use for hair that is just starting to grow. But most of all I can use my hands to work the comb as I have arthiritis in my hands and I manage very well.

My mom brought me back a couple of these clips when she went back to South Africa to see the family. Now all my friends at work are asking me to order them one. I am glad I found that I can get them from Australia and not have to wait to receive orders from South africa.

I had a different type of comb years ago and have been looking for them for years and no one knew what I was talking about until I found it at the South Bank market in Brisbane. This one had the beads etc. The older ones I had were combs that just hooked together the same and the patterns were on the sides of the combs.

They are so comfortable, and don't pull at your hair. You don't feel like there is anything in your hair.

I love the African Butterfly comb's the ability to hold heavy straight hair.

I love these combs as they are just so comfortable, and they also helps to prevent hair breakage from hair elastics .

I purchased 2 imitation clips at a market on the gold coast but was unaware that they were fake as had never seen them before. They started to crack and the fingers were all falling off. When I came home from holidays and went to our local market I found the real ones. I bought 2 and haven’t had them out of my hair since. Everyone I see comments on my hair and wants to know all about them. They of course get a demo and some have purchased their own. I am no hair dresser but now I never have a hair out of place and it takes just seconds, and as I am a nurse and a very busy one that’s a big plus.
Thanks for bringing in such a great product.

My mum gave my sister and I a Butterfly comb each for Christmas. They look fantastic in the hair and are very user friendly. We have been on the web site to check out other great styles and found the video instruction very useful. We will definitely be purchasing more of this product.

I received my first African Butterfly comb as a present and I absolutely love it. It is a great stylish way to put my hair up with minimal fuss and effort. I received so many comments on how great it looked. A few of my friends asked me to get them one too! I proceeded to place orders for them and they too, love their African Butterfly experience. The order came within the week. Thanks for a fantastic product and great customer service! I want to buy the whole range!

P.S. I tried the brown comb on the other day….it is absolutely fantastic. So easy to use…you can do it with your eyes closed. Worked perfectly the 1st time I tried. I have really long hair and sometimes find it uncomfortable to wear in an up-style. Your combs are really comfortable to wear and have already recommended them to friends.

Having afro hair has always been a challenge, especially living in Australia. The African Butterfly has finally given me something that can not only keep control of my hair but it looks great. I have 3 in various styles, although could always do with more. An amazing product, with great versatility and I feel privileged to be part of a project that is helping to support the Ndebele women & their families. They should be extremely proud of the work they are doing, it has certainly made my life easier & my hair more manageable. Kind regards.

I love your combs because my hair is long and layered and your combs keep it all contained while looking stylish for work. I have a hard time putting my hair up and getting it stay because of the layers, but the African Butterfly holds all day and I don't get a headache, like I do from pinned styles. Thanks.

Hi Janet,
I saw the combs at the historical village markets at Calliope. I instantly brought 2. I have now ordered more for my family for Xmas Prezzies. I love them as I wear my hair up for work every day. Please send me information on becoming a Distributor. Thanks.

Dear Janet,
My new comb arrived - thank you very much for your prompt response. I first came across African Butterfly combs when I was travelling in Western Australia last year. I went to the Kunnanurra Markets and there was a stall there selling the combs and some beaded ornaments from Zimbabwe. I bought a comb and it was the best thing I picked up in my travels. I wore it all the time because it made it possible to have my hair up and still wear my hat without problems - and it was so easy to use. Best wishes,

I'm a mum & often don't have time to do my hair. These great combs, not only hold all of my thick hair without falling out, but they look great. Can dress them up or down. Perfect for a busy mum.

I have long hair and they are fantastic to keep it off my face and stay tidy all day. My head doesn’t get sore from them either.

Keeps your hair up all day without the pain. (My hair is slippery and heavy, hard to keep up.) Plus they look great.

Very easy to use, they look complicated, but they are not and add elegance when you going out, whether you have short hair or long hair.

Quick & easy to use. Very comfortable. Convenient for those irritating hair days... you can just get it up and out of the way

Ellissa, NSW said...

The fact they easily go around my really long and think hair and enable my hair to look neat and professional.

Helen from WA said...

They make a bad hair day a fab hair day with no effort at all! Plus they are unusual so not many people I know have them...so the comb always gets complimented!

So easy to use - I have long fine hair and the comb holds it all in so neatly - bought at South Bank Market Brisbane while on holidays on 27 July 08 - my husband loves the look!!!

I love absolutely EVERYTHING about African Butterfly combs. The best hair accessory I've ever had. Holds hair in place all day at work or play. Very easy to wear & comfortable.

I love the fact that once you put the comb in it does not move all day!

I received my first African Butterfly comb as a gift a couple of years ago and I love it. The ease of putting my hair up is fantastic. My daughter was given an immitation one which was made of brittle plastic and within a few wears the teeth which don't interlock, started to break. I bought her (and a friend) an original African Butterfly comb and she hasn't looked back.
They're brilliant.
Janet was wonderful to deal with and is great at communication and resolving problems - I had a bit of trouble with the website and she helped me out brilliantly.
Thanks again Janet
